SIBU: Hii King Ching with her topic ‘Judge a Book By Its Cover’ was announced as the winner in the International Speech category of the Toastmasters Area S2 International Speech & Table Topics Contest, Division S, District 87 held at University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) here recently.

Second place went to Chan Siu Chai with her topic ‘Did They Commit Suicide Or Murder? while Gregory Xavier with his topic ‘It’s A Small World’ was third.

In the Table Topics Category, Sii Kia Miang emerged as the top winner with Gregory Xavier and Hii King Ching in second and third places respectively.

The top three winners received a trophy and certificate of participation each.

Area S2 Divisions, District 87 director Lydia Wong gave away prizes to the winners.

The participating clubs were UCTS Toastmasters Club, Sibu Toastmasters Club, Kapit Toastmasters Club, Sarikei Medical & Health Toastmasters Club and Maybank Staffs Toastmasters Club.
