Dehradun, April 17

Nanhi Dunya, in collaboration with The Society of Visionaries, organised a tree plantation drive here today. The drive was organised to spread awareness and instill a sense of responsibility in children.

Ashutosh Thakral, a founder member of The Society of Visionaries, requested one and all not to wait for any occasion and celebrate each day as ‘Vasundhra Day’.

Saarthak Singh, Ankit Tiwari and Ashutosh Thakral presented their thoughts in the form of poems, speech and songs on the occasion. Abhinandani Yadav and Apporva interacted with children and motivated them to protect the environment. Kiran Ulfat Goyal, chief promoter of Nanhi Dunya, expressed gratitude to all who participated in the event.

A workshop was also conducted by Urmila Thakur, Shiksha and Neha Jaiswal on the occasion. Poems and songs sung by the children were treasured by all. A vote of thanks was presented by social activist Vijay Goyal.
