History-sheeter kills two during tussle in Limbayat

Two men, around 45 years of age, were murdered by a history-sheeter when they tried to intervene in a tussle between him and a pan shop owner over monthly extortion money in Godadara area of the city on Friday night. The accused Ajay Rajput and two others suffered injuries in the tussle.

Surat: Two men, around 45 years of age, were murdered by a history-sheeter when they tried to intervene in a tussle between him and a pan shop owner over monthly extortion money in Godadara area of the city on Friday night. The accused Ajay Rajput and two others suffered injuries in the tussle. Rajput is under treatment and is likely to be arrested on Saturday night.
Lal Bahadur Rajput and Dharmaraj Rajbhar, both labourers, succumbed to stab wounds.
Accused Ajay had gone to the pan shop of Sunil Rajput to demand monthly extortion money. When Ajay attacked Sunil, the deceased who were sitting nearby intervened and tried to save him. During the fight, Ajay stabbed the victims. Sunil and complainant Dabloo Rajbhar suffered stab wounds.
Ajay had come out of jail on bail recently after he was arrested for threatening Sunil for extortion money. Sunil had lodged a complaint against Ajay. Soon after his release, Ajay went to take revenge.
"The accused, who is under police surveillance, will be arrested soon. We have started investigation in the case," said K G Limbachiya, incharge police inspector of Limbayat police station. tnn
