Congress to hold first ‘lok darbar’ at Kapadvanj in Kheda on May 9

Addressing young party workers active on social media at the state party office here on Saturday, leader of opposition in the state assembly Shankersinh Vaghela said that the party would also launch a portal on the same day where people could upload their grievances and complaints. He said the initiative is being taken to counter the BJP social media cell which had launched a disinformation campaign among the voters. “During 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had promised to bring back black money, reply Pakistan in its own language, raise minimum support price (MSP) of cotton to Rs 1,500 per 20 kg, check inflation and corruption but (Narendra) Modi government has miserable failed on all these fronts,” said Vaghela.

Social media experts Parthesh Patel and Komal Meha gave presentation about how to use social media effectively to reach out the electorates and educate them about party’s policies and programmes for welfare of masses. Party’s Information Technology cell in-charge Rohan Gupta said that the party would launch a statewide campaign against failure of the BJP on unemployment front. Others who addressed the gathering included Navinchandra Ravani, former MP Dr Prabhaben Taviad, Maulin Vaishnav and party spokesperson Manish Doshi.
