“During my visit to Kadri Park and old Deer Park, I have noticed several irregularities.
In the meantime, I also have received many complaints in this regard. Trees inside old Deer Park have been cut illegally without obtaining permission. Land belong to park should not be utilized for any other purposes and the construction of shops is a clear violation of rules,” Ibrahim stated in a notice served to the deputy director of horticulture department that maintains Kadri Park.
The DC directed horticulture department to vacate all shops in the Kadri Park premises and take action as per the Act. He also recalled several High Court orders against illegal structures in park places. Further, he directed the horticulture department to submit an action taken report on illegal shops and felling of trees on or before April 18.
