It's been almost three months that late musician Johnson master's daughter Shan Johnson died on Feb. 5. The talented singer-music composer, aged 29, was found dead in Chennai the day she was planning to reach Kerala for the recording of a composition.

Shan's last project "Ithal" was released on the YouTube channel of Manorama Music on Friday, April 15. The music for the four-minute-28-second album song had been composed by Shan and its lyrics penned by Unni Manjaly. Singers G Venugopal and Sujatha Mohan lent their voices to the album song, which has been directed by Gurulal.

"This is the last song Shan had worked on before leaving this world. What was I thinking when I sang this romantic song after the untimely death of Shan? I don't know. That moment when I had to sing a beautiful song even when I missed one of my favourites (translated)," Venugopal has written on his social media page while sharing it as a tribute to the late musician.

Meanwhile, Shan, who penned the Hindi lyrics of the song "Raavumaayave" in late director Rajesh Pillai's last movie "Vettah," had shared the audio jukebox of the movie on her Facebook page just a day before her death. "Yet another beautiful song by Shaan Rahman for which i had the opportunity to pen few lines in Hindi.... It's for the upcoming Malayalam film 'Vettah' starring Kunchacko Boban and Manju Warrier, [sic]" Shan had written while sharing the audio song.

The late singer, who was trained in Carnatic and Western music, had lent her voice to songs in the movies "Praise the Lord," "Engeyum Eppothum" and "Paravai," among others.
