Namdharis seek arrest of Mata’s killers, accused in bomb blast case

Around 3,000 Namdhari followers carried out a peaceful march starting from Namdhari Saheedi Samarak in Old City to Mini Secretariat on Friday demanding arrest of Mata Chand Kaur's murderers and those involved in Jalandhar bomb blast case.

Ludhiana: Around 3,000 Namdhari followers carried out a peaceful march starting from Namdhari Saheedi Samarak in Old City to Mini Secretariat on Friday demanding arrest of Mata Chand Kaur's murderers and those involved in Jalandhar bomb blast case.
The followers handed over a memorandum to the additional deputy commissioner Ajay Sood demanding ban on the programmes of Thakur Dalip Singh in Punjab, alleging that these events are hurting the sentiments of followers.

The followers threatened to organise a rail roko andolan if their demands are not met.
Meanwhile, Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal visited Bhaini Sahib and mourned the death of Mata Chand Kaur.
Speaking to mediapersons, Sukhbir said the murder of Mata Chand Kaur was a cowardly act and her killers would not be spared. He said the Special Investigation Team (SIT) would soon arrest the killers.
Badal was accompanied by irrigation minister Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, rural development & panchayat minister Sikandar Singh Maluka, DGP Suresh Arora, CM's advisor Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, MLA Ranjit Singh Dhillon, MLA Darshan Singh Shivalik.
