Vehicles torched by Naxals; 2 held

Raipur, Apr 15 (UNI) Maoists have set ablaze five heavy vehicles in Rajnandgaon and two hardcore rebels were arrested in Kanker District’s Mendra forest, police said.
Last evening, about a dozen armed ultras assaulted labourers engaged in bridge-laying in Mahpal and torched a trailor, a couple of trucks etc. They left the place after threatening the workers of dire consequences if they continued with the project.
Mannuram Hidko (27) and Shyam Singh Potai (34) – apprehended during a search by Border Security Force and district force personnel yesterday – are charged with several cases of attempt to murder and improvised explosive device blasts targeting security personnel.
