While the contestants mesmerized everyone with their soulful melodies, it was King Khan who wasn’t only enjoying the singing but seemed keen on getting to know some of the contestants better. He was highly impressed with visually impaired Canadian contestant Jagpreet’s voice as he sang the title song ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’. Shah Rukh said, “Jaspreet is an inspiration to millions. Far from being visually impaired, I believe he has a vision that he is going after. I salute the grit & determination with which he’s surpassed the obstacles and challenges in his path and come this far!" Jagpreet mentioned that it has been his long-standing dream to sing playback for SRK and requested if his dream can become a reality today. Shah Rukh immediately went on to the stage and lip synced and spread his arms in his iconic pose to the beautiful track while Jagpreet sang for him. Shah Rukh was particularly tickled by the fact that Jagpreet, who is a great singer, is also a complete casanova. Working his physical challenge to his advantage, he identifies girls from their voice and gets the lovely ladies to help him cross the street and even drop him home. Well, the king of romance, was fascinated by Jagpreet’s tricks and told him to show him around and introduce him to some of his ladies when he’s down in Canada.
Another contestant Abhigyan Das told Mr. Khan that he has a huge crush on a girl from Jaipur who he calls Kuchu Kuchu but doesn’t know how to express his feelings to her. SRK gave him not just lessons on wooing her in style, but himself delivered a dialogue from his own film on behalf of Abhigyan for his lady love Kuchu Kuchu and urged her to reciprocate his feelings and complete his one-sided love story. An excited Abhigayan floated away on to cloud 9 as it’s not every day that you get Superstar Shah Rukh Khan to propose to your lady love on your behalf!

Floored by the talent, SRK couldn’t stop appreciating the performances. Admitting that he is a horrendous singer who can’t hold a tune, SRK said, "It's hard for me to believe that the contestants are so flawless in front of a live audience. I remember how the song Apun Bola from Josh was broken down into a thousand pieces for him to be able to sing and then further corrected and adjusted through editing for it to be in sur and taal."
Left awestruck by contestant Ashmita Kar’s harmonious voice, SRK fulfilled her fantasy of being lifted by the King Khan. As he walked around on stage with her in his arms, Ashmita kissed the superstar on his cheeks. Ashmita’s mom, a die-hard fan of SRK herself, was thrilled the most by his grand gesture. She wanted SRK to deliver his famous lines from Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Indulging Ashmita’s mother’s request, Shah Rukh went down on his knees in front of her and delivered his monologue with flair.
With Mr. Khan on a roll and making contestants’ dreams come true, this weekend, be ready to watch the magic of singing come alive as the top 12 contestants have India’s biggest superstar in raptures with their mellifluous voices.
