With this, the bodies of three boys have been found while search is on for two others.

SSP Amritsar (rural) Jasdeep Singh said Paramjit’s body was recovered 6 km from the place where they had slipped into the water. He said the rescue teams were on the job looking for the two others.
The tragedy took place on Baisakhi when nine boys who had gone to take a bath in the river were swept away by the current. Four of them were rescued by a friend, while five were swept away. The bodies of two were found on the same day.
