KCR presented book on Telangana movement

April 15, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:35 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Ramji Sinha Udayan, former editor of Hindi newspaper Milap published from Hyderabad, on Thursday called on Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and presented the latter a Hindi book authored by him – Telangana Andolan – Gandhi Vaad Punarsthapna – and its Telugu translation.

A native of Banaras, the former editor of the Hindi daily hailed the way Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao spearheaded the Telangana movement for separate statehood, his indefinite fast taken up in support of the cause and the developments that followed his protest. He told the Chief Minister that he had penned the book after following the movement keenly and how it had re-established the peaceful Gandhian path in which the goal of separate State was achieved.

Complimenting Mr. Udayan’s effort, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao agreed to the writer’s invite to attend his book release function.
