Replica of Lokbhawan temple comes up in Jammu

JAMMU, Apr 14: A replica of ancient temple of Goddess Sedh Lakshmi of South Kashmir’s Lokbhawan belt has come up in Jammu city, where it was inaugurated today amid Maha Yagya.
A Newly constructed temple of Mata Sedh-Lakshmi, a replica of ancient spring temple in Kashmir was inaugurated at Durga Nagar in Jammu, by Bali Bhaghat, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Planning and Medical Education and MLC Surinder Ambedkar.
Sanjay Koul, a member of Prabandhak Committee said that over 2000 KPs from various parts of Jammu and outside took party in inaugral function including top leaders and saints of the community.
Lokbhawan, abode of four other temples of Shiv, Ram, Sita and Laxman temple, Durga temple, Laxmi Narayan temple in South Kashmir with springs around it and temple complex find mention as very ancient shrine in famous Rajatarangni book.
Maha Yagya of Mata Sedh-Lakshmi was performed by learned Pandits headed by famous Pandits Vesh Nath, Makhan Lal of Lokbhawan amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and pravachan by Swami Kumar of Geeta Satsang Ashram.
Mata Sedh-Lakshmi Teerath Raj is situated at village Lokbhawan in Tehsil Doru at a distance of about 10 kms from the District headquarters of Anantnag, Kaul said.
In this connection a Maha Yagya for well being of mankind was also performed by the Prabandhak committee. Bhajan keertan continued throughout the night. Devotees attended the function in large numbers and were served with Prashad after Puran Aahuti.
A book written by Hari Krishen Sidha on the Teerath Raj mentioning its history, importance and sanctity was also released on this occasion by all available guests.
Guests were honored by presenting them a photo Frame of Sedhlakshmi Peeth Lokbhawan as memento.
The function was attended by a large number of invitees and devotees prominent among them are Ex-MLCs Vijay Bakaya, Surinder Ambardar MLC, Madhu Sudan Vice-President (BJP), Kuldeep Raina (chairman Manzgam Trust), Vinod Pandit Chairman (APMCC), M K Yogi President (NC minority cell), Kundan Kashmiri President KPC and other among the veteran Media fraternity Anil Bhat Bureau Chief (PTI) and Sameerji Bhat chief correspondent (ETV).
Various Prabandhak Committees of a number of shrines were also present. The function was hosted by noted journalist P K Raina.
P N Raina Chairman and M K Raina president, thanked the guests and Government agencies involved as also all devotees for their whole hearted support and participation in the function. Ramesh Koul, Bharat Ji Pandita and Sanjay Koul thanked all guests on behalf of Prabandhak Committee Lokbhawan.
