Mumbai, April 14
A legislator from the Shiv Sena refused to allow a train to depart because he was unsatisfied with the berth he was given, sources in the Indian Railways said on Thursday.
Nanded lawmaker Hemant Patil was unhappy with the side berth he was allocated and refused to allow Devgiri Express — a train that shuttles between Mumbai and Secunderabad — to leave Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus by repeatedly pulling on a chain that stops the train late on Wednesday night.
His “tantrums” delayed the train by almost an hour, sources in the Indian Railways said.
The Indian Railways has reportedly complained against the lawmaker to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Assembly Speaker Haribhau Bagde. — ANI
