This action was taken following a private complaint filed by advocate B Vinod. The said land comes under the limits of Bhadr a Wildlife Sanctuary, said the complaint.

The state government on Wednesday said it is yet to take a decision on whether to file an appeal in the Supreme Court against the high court verdict to quash the FIRs filed by the Lokayukta police in land denotification cases.
However, the government hinted at using private persons as proxies to fight the case on behalf of Karnataka. Speaking on the sidelines of the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of B R Ambedkar, chief minister Siddaramaiah said: "We are examining it. We will go by the opinion of the law department and will take a decision based on that."
