Chadars from many nations offered

The annual Urs of Khwaja Gharib Nawaz in Ajmer is proving instrumental in strengthening the diplomatic ties of India with countries having wide following of the Sufi saint in Ajmer. The offerings have been pouring in from heads of several nations. On Wednesday, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri Mohd Najib Razak, sent a ceremonial chadar to be offered at the shrine.In his message, he prayed for world peace.
"The message is very important at present times. I will spread his message of peace and love in the world," said Syed Swaleh Mohammed Niyazi, a khadim at the dargah while reading out Razak's message in the shrine.
Razak, whose offering was brought by his cousin Mohammad Naim, expressed a desire to visit the shrine.
The Pakistani delegation also offered a chadar with a message of strong Indo-Pak ties. Head of Pakistani delegation Dr Amanuallah told TOI, "India is a pious land for Pakistanis who believe in the Sufi school of Islam. This country has shrines of our most revered Sufi saints making it most sought after pilgrimage for us after Mecca and Medina." The delegation offered chadar in a procession. Similar offerings have come from Mauritius, Bangladesh, South Africa, etc.
