Awadh Shilp Gram to open by June 2016

Lucknow: Various artworks and handicrafts would soon be on display at Awadh Shilp Gram, being developed on the lines of Delhi Haat, on a sprawling 532 acre campus in Awadh Vihar Yojna on Sultanpur Road. The haat is slated to be ready by June 2016.
Once inaugurated, UP Housing Board will rope in a consultant for its operations and maintenance. The consultant will be roped in on terms and conditions similar to that of LDA's Jai Prakash Narayan International Convention Centre.
Being designed by Housing Board at a cost of Rs 213.23 crore, the haat will comprise 169 craft shops, 11 food courts, an amphitheater, an exhibition hall and a banquet hall.
