Located in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur district, Khajuraho holds great significance for temple tourism in India. Listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khajuraho is home to around 85 temples built by the Chandela dynasty during 950 AD to 1050 AD. Today, of the original 85, only 22 have survived the ravages of time. The temples of Khajuraho are divided into three geographical groups: Western, Eastern and Southern. These temples are renowed across the world for their architecture and scupltures.
