Residents raise concern over ‘unsafe’ Fatorda roads

Margao: Residents of Fatorda have voiced their concerns over the "unsafe" road leading to Fatorda from the Ravindra Bhavan circle as it has become prone to accidents.
Taking cognizance of the locals' concerns, the Fatorda Youth Association president Custodio Dias, has written to the PWD executive engineer, works division XV (roads), urging him to look into the proposal for widening of the road and installing speed breakers in order to "prevent accidents and safeguard lives."
Dias in the letter has pointed out that the road is narrow and devoid of any retaining wall, thereby rendering it prone to accidents.

He has suggested that iron railings be installed on the road after its widening in view of the safety of the pedestrians and motorists alike "as this road is a busy route" which witnesses frequent traffic congestion.
