Minimalist beauties

FOR Ipanema's Spring/Summer 2016 collection, world-renowned creator Philippe Starck lent his flair for minimal and organic design to bring a new dimension to the flipflop.
The Ipanema with STARCK collection combines the Brazilian shoe brand's love of fashion at the beach and Starck's drive to make products that are better, more intelligent, simpler yet more elegant. The dynamic sandals are designed with purity, organic elegance and lightness in mind, honouring the silhouette of the human form.
Recognising all dimensions of the modern woman – including her lifestyles and moods – Ipanema with STARCK features four distinct designs (Arty, Chic, Glamour and Nature) in 12 colours each. Neutral and citrus tones dominate this collection, ranging from white, black and smoke to acid yellow, rose and transparent orange.
True to Starck's sustainable design philosophy, Ipanema with STARCK was developed with 30% recycled materials and is 100% recyclable. To achieve this, Ipanema switched its industrial process with one that is more manual and artisan, employing proprietary plastic injection technique to ensure product comfort and delicate quality. The sandals' straps are also handcrafted to the sole, allowing a perfect fit for wearers.
