Irish director Martin McDonagh has added Peter Dinklage to the cast of his new film.

The Game of Thrones actor joins a stellar line up including Frances McDormand, Sam Rockwell, Abbie Cornish, and Woody Harrelson.

McDonagh previously worked with Harrelson and Rockwell in Seven Psychopaths.

The director has written the script for the new film which will focus on a mother whose daughter has been murdered.

While the police are wrapped up with persecuting black people rather than finding the killer, the mother (McDormand) takes out three billboards protesting against them.

Shooting kicks off shortly and the film is expected to release next year.
