Family escapes as car catches fire at Velguem-Pale

Bicholim: John D'Souza of Varkhand, Ponda, along with his family survived a likely tragedy when his car caught fire while they were on their way to Velguem, Pale, on Sunday afternoon.
Bicholim fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot but, the car was totally gutted by the time they reached the site. The car owner suffered a loss of 3.5 lakh. "When D'Souza saw the fire, he immediately stopped the vehicle and got out of it along with his family," a fire brigade official said.tnn
