Did scandal-ridden Egyptian belly dancer Sama el Masry really think that the online community will forget about her naked selfie scandal and think of her as a goody two-shoes, just because she decided to post a picture of herself dressed up as a "good Muslim"?
Na'ah, you guessed it wrong, sista!
The online Arab community shrieked when Sama's Kim Kardashian-like photos were leaked from her mobile phone and crept up on our computer screens last week. But the irony was that the artist had just signed up to head the "Our Morals" campaign in Egypt that week.
Sama posted this picture on Instagram, dressed in Islamic prayer clothes, while dishing out some religious advice to her fans.

"Just because we wear dresses and keep our hair uncovered doesn't mean that we don't pray. No, we must always do our best to keep our prayers," she captioned the photo.
She added, "This is our way to get closer to God, and only he knows what's really in our hearts. Let's perform our dawn prayers then repent and ask God for forgiveness. Let's ask that we commit no further sins today. But if we do, God will sure pull us closer to him once again."
This post could very well be Sama's way of redeeming herself and showing herself in a more positive light. She's publicly repenting and asking God and her fans for forgiveness.
Is this genuine regret or good PR?
Either way, in order for Sama's fans to see her in a different light, she's really got to keep her head down and resist the urge to take any inappropriate selfies!
