40-yr-old man murdered in Qayamganj clash

A 40-year-old man was shot and seven others injured in a clash in Sinauli village of Qayamganj area in Farrukhabad district on Sunday.He was identified as Salim.

Kanpur: A 40-year-old man was shot and seven others injured in a clash in Sinauli village of Qayamganj area in Farrukhabad district on Sunday. He was identified as Salim.
An altercation broke out on Sunday afternoon between Salim, a ration shop owner and Pradeep Chaturvedi.
Chaturvedi accused Salim of stealing the pipe of his genset. Heated exchanges turned violent with more people joining in.
They used firearms and 'lathis' in attacking each other. Salim sustained bullet injuries and rushed to a hospital but he succumbed on way.
Superintendent of police Rajesh Krishna said that a case has been registered lodged against Pradeep and five others.
Security has been tightened in the village and police and PAC have been deployed. Salim is survived by his wife Rehana and four minor children.
Pradeep, his father Vibhakar Chaturvedi, brothers Prabhash and Bablu and relatives Lallu and Gopali have been booked under various sections, including 147, 148, 149, 307, 302, 323, 504, 506, 452 of IPC, besides 7 Criminal Act. Raids are on to arrest them.
The seven injured people from both the sides have been admitted to Lohia Hospital.
