Voter awareness campaign

Rallies and floating of decorative boats marked the voter awareness campaign in the hill station as part of Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme on Sunday.

To create awareness of the importance of voting, a well-decorated boat carrying an awareness banner was floated in Kodaikanal lake. The boat will float in the lake till polling, enlightening tourists and local people, according to election officials.

A motorcycle rally was also organised on Lake Road. The rally was flagged off by Special Observer for SVEEP Sanjay Roy.

Students of Mother Teresa University and Santham Matriculation Schools took out a massive rally.
