Indian forces resort to unprovoked firing at Naiza Pir sector

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Indian forces once again violated LoC ceasefire and opened unprovoked firing at Naiza Pir sector, reported on Sunday.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Indian troops opened indiscriminate firing and shelling on late Saturday night that continued till 5am on Sunday morning.

Reportedly, hundreds of residents have fled the exchange of fire.

The forces used heavy weapons while the brave Pakistan Army personnel gave befitting response to the firing. ISPR stated that no loss of life has been occurred so far.

Firing and shelling across the de-facto border, known as the Line of Control (LoC) in disputed Kashmir and the Working Boundary in Punjab, has been on the rise.

Earlier, at least three Pakistanis including two minors and a 70-year-old woman were killed and more than ten people sustained injuries in unprovoked Indian gunfire and shelling on the working boundary.

According to sources, the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) targeted civilian settlements in Shakargarh and Zafarwal sectors.
