KOZHIKODE: Kudumbashree’s mega Vishu fair of organic products will open here on Sunday. The organic vegetables harvested by 40 different units of Kudumbashree in the district will be on display and sale, besides their chips, sweet chips, pickle, arrowroot powder, curry powders, papad and coconut oil specially made for Vishu Sadya.
"Kudumbashree has been displaying various organic products at festivals and fairs around the state," CDS member Beena Unni said. "This time, we are organising one of the largest Vishu fairs exclusively with all our products." Also, on the display are their organic inputs such as manure and grow bag mixture.
"Organic production of vegetables and fruits is gaining momentum, so we decided to produce agricultural inputs as well to increasing demand for quality inputs such as organic fertilisers, pesticides, and bio-controls," she said.
Westhill Manush Residents Association member P.K. Kanakam will hand over the first product kit to Kudumbashree coordinator T. P. Muhammed Basheer.
