Sahiwal school renamed after APS martyrs

Government High School Sahiwal has been renamed as Govt Shuhada-e-APS Memorial High School as a tribute to the martyrs of Army Public School, Peshawar.
According to the district administration, the historic Government High School Sahiwal has been renamed after the Shuhada-e-APS. The educational institution is historic significance as it was established before the creation of Pakistan and is considered the largest school in Sahiwal division with lot of achievement in educational sector. The education department has issued a notification in this regard while the new name has also been inscribed on the school building.
MURDERER JAILED FOR LIFE: A local court sentenced a murder accused to 25 years rigorous imprisonment and co-accused to seven years in prison in the murder case of a landlord. Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Ayub also fined the convicts Rs200,000, of which Rs100,000 will be given to the heirs of the deceased man. According to the prosecution, both the accused killed a landlord namely Muhammad Ashraf and injured his servant some two and a half years ago. The Harappa Police had registered the case and arrested the accused.
