All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) Saturday appealed Syed Ali Geelani and Muhammad Yaseen Malik to alter the date of strike call forwarded by them on 12 April.Separatist leaders has asked people to observe complete shutdown on 12 April against growing attacks on Kashmiri students in various Indian states. Chairman APSCC Jagmohan Singh Raina told CNS that Bhaisaki festival falls on April 13 while Sikh community makes preparations for the festival right from April 12. “We support the stand taken by separatist leaders vis-à-vis assault on Kashmiri students studying outside Jammu and Kashmir, however, we request these leaders to change the date of the strike call,” Raina said. “APSCC condemns the attack on Kashmiri students and warn those elements who run hate campaign against the people of Kahsmir to defame them. There is a particular community who encourage attacks on our Kashmiri students,” he said. (CNS)
