Nashik: The Ambad police arrested a man for allegedly murdering his brother-in-law over a family dispute. The suspect was on his way to dispose of the body when he was nabbed in the wee hours of Friday.
Sub-inspector Sopanrao Ingole was on night patrol around 3am when he received a call about a possible murder victim being transported in a rickshaw near Uttam nagar bus stop.

Ingole said by the time he and his colleague Prashant Nagare reached the spot, the suspect had fled. "Other police stations and mobile patrolling units were alerted and later we found that the rickshaw had reached Pavan nagar chowk. After a chase from Trimurti chowk, it was stopped at Untwadi,"
During interrogation, the suspect, Rahul Ketu Jamdade, 21, a resident of Upandra Nagar admitted to killing his brother-in-law Amol Keval More, 22, a resident of Savata Nagar, Ingole said. "The deceased was allegedly harassing Jamdade's sister for the past few months. Unable to bear the harassment, his sister had left the house 15 days ago."
Ingole said that Jamdade also confessed to giving liquor to More around 1am and then slitting his throat with a knife in an open ground. "The suspect was on the way to dump the body near the Untwadi bridge," he added.
More was immediately rushed to the government civil hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
This case comes after the alleged murder of a history-sheeter by two waiters on April 6.
