Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology students take out 'Tiranga March'

Over 500 students from all faculties of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) took out 'Tiranga March' with tricolour in their hands on Friday in support of the students of the Srinagar National Institute of Technology, who were allegedly beaten up by security forces a few days ago.

Surat: Over 500 students from all faculties of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) took out 'Tiranga March' with tricolour in their hands on Friday in support of the students of the Srinagar National Institute of Technology, who were allegedly beaten up by security forces a few days ago.
The students showing solidarity with their compatriots in Srinagar were shouting slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
The march began at 12.45 pm from the SVNIT main office and went across the campus till 2 pm.
Students also unfurled the tricolor on SVNIT administrative building as a symbolic gesture to show that Indian national flag should hoisted in every educational institute of the country.
Students constantly chanted 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', 'Vandematram' and 'student power is nation's power' during the march.
Kalpesh Raval, VNSGU senate member and ABVP leader told TOI, "This is an act of solidarity by students of NIT to fellow students in Srinagar. We would like students in Srinagar to know that they are not alone."
