A private pharmacy college in Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar district terminated one of its lecturers after a girl student alleged he sent her a vulgar message on her cellphone.

Yamunanagar: A private pharmacy college in Jagadhri town of Yamunanagar district terminated one of its lecturers after a girl student alleged he sent her a vulgar message on her cellphone. On Friday, action was taken by the college management after dozens of students protested to support their classmate.
The incident took place at Devi Lal College of Pharmacy, Jagadhri.
A police team was deployed after students staged their protest. A team from the women station had to make frenetic efforts to calm down girls who demanded action in the matter. " We have terminated lecturer Yogesh Sharma after we received a complaint from a girl about indecent behaviour by him. After going through the objectionable message on the teacher's cellphone, our committee immediately ordered to terminate him," Anurag Bhargav, principal of the college told TOI.
