Babloo's 'suicide' video goes viral
A couple of days ago, there were rumours of TV personality Babloo committing suicide. Given the recent suicides of TV artistes, concerned friends even called up the actor's mobile to verify this. And that is when they got to know the truth.
'Murali Raman, who has helped me every time when I have been at crossroads, asked me if I could direct an online video for him.
I was trying to zero in on the subject. I remembered how deeply bothered I was with my friends like Sai Prashanth committing suicide and decided to make it an anti-suicide video, that talks about why a person decides to kill himself, and then present how things are never as bad as they seem if we look at them from a different point. We had titled the video Babloo's Suicide and somehow, before we could release the video, the title got leaked and people thought that I had actually committed suicide,' he reveals.
Babloo, who is in Kochi currently, started getting numerous calls and that is when the team decided that it would be better to squash the rumours by immediately releasing the video. Not surprisingly, that, too, went viral. However, the actor considers this unfortunate leak a lucky thing because he could see what will happen at his funeral. 'The incident made me realise how so many people love me, care for me and will even miss me when I'm gone,' he adds.
Babloo credits his mentor, K Balachander, whose film Vaaname Ellai also had an anti-suicide message, for putting his life on the right track. 'I was an actor in the film. Everyone has suicidal tendencies at some point in their life, and for me, when I had one such moment, it was a song from the film ' Jana Gana Mana Enum Jathi Sollum Neram ' that stopped me from doing anything drastic. Similarly, if my video can change the mindset of even one person and save his/her life, I would be immensely satisfied,' he signs off.
