Elderly murder accused to return to court from hospital

The 87-year-old man who was charged with the murder and wounding of his two room mates at an elderly home in Tseung Kwan O on Wednesday has missed his court appearance because he is still in hospital.

The Kwun Tong court adjourned the case to next Monday.

Chow Lai-hung was arrested two days ago after he attacked his two bed-ridden roommates with a drain cover at the Haven of Hope Woo Ping Care and Attention Home, killing an 80-year-old while leaving another 84-year-old critically injured.—RTHK
