Wild Sloth Bear injures 9 in north Gujarat, captured in cage

A wild sloth bear on Wednesday attacked 9 persons in north Gujarat. Wild bear was later in the evening captured in cage.
A wild bear in Limdi, Chotiya, Mahekubpura and Jashmpura villages of Kheralu belt of north Gujarat attacked 9 persons who are identified as Narsangji Thakor, Bhikhabhai, Naranbhai Thakor, Fataji Thakor, Somanji Thakor, Nagjibhai Rabari, Pashabhai Senma, Shanaji Kumbhaji Thakor and Devaji Thakor.
One injured person was shifted to Ahmedabad for further treatment due to serious injury while others were taken to Mahesna civil hospital.
Satlasna range forester Suresh Goswami and staff captured the bear in cage late in the evening. It was taken to Forest department nursery. It will be later released.
