Papers of 60 vehicles impounded for overcharging tourists in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 7 (UNI) In a bid to curb overcharging at world famous health resort of Sonamarg, district administration has impounded papers of 60 commercial vehicles in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal for overpricing.
An official spokesperson here today said a joint inspection was conducted by the Director Tourism, Kashmir, Chief Executive Officer, Sonamarg, Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Ganderbal and Station House Officer (SHO), Tourist Police in which papers of 60 vehicles were impounded.
He said action was taken after receiving complaints from tourists and other Tourism stakeholders that they were being overcharged.
