After Mumbai and Kolkata, it’s the turn of Chennai to dance to the tunes of DJ Bravo. The West Indian star is no stranger to the city as fans, who adored the Bravo dance in the yellow of Chennai Super Kings, have now taken to the ‘Champion’ dance. Though Bravo will represent Gujarat Lions under the leadership of Suresh Raina in the upcoming IPL, his heart still beats for the yellow brigade.

“There can never be another CSK. I’m going to miss the city during this IPL. I hope the people here will support Gujarat Lions as we have a lot of players such as Raina, Ravindra Jadeja, Brendon McCullum from CSK. It’s exciting to play for a new franchisee,” Bravo said, eliciting a roar during an event here on Wednesday.

With M.S. Dhoni set to lead Rising Pune Supergiants, Bravo said he would definitely miss the leadership of Captain Cool. “However, it’s an opportunity for Raina to show his nous as captain. We have a very good team in place and we want to ensure that we make Raina a very good leader,” said Bravo. Fresh from winning the World T20 title, the 32-year-old West Indian all-rounder expressed his delight at Indian fans’ support for them during the T20 extravaganza.

“Despite beating India, we got a standing ovation. That’s very touching. After India, we were the favourites to win the World Cup and we delivered it for the fans,” he added.
