The allegations made by Arbaaz Khan got us thinking

Last week, a lot of Pawan fans had a bit of a heart attack when Arbaaz Khan filed a legal complaint against makers of Sardaar Gabbar Singh. According to the actor and producer, Pawan Kalyan's film is a lot like Salman Khan's Dabangg 2. There were also reports that the similarity of trailers both the films is what sparked the controversy. After these allegations, we couldn't help ourselves but compare the trailer of the Powerstar and Salman Khan film and here is what we found... The setting of both Sardaar Gabbar Singh and Dabangg 2 can be considered somewhat similar, a sleepy old small town where the cop rules the roost. However, in case of PK's film it is the town of Rattanpur, a fictional town in the borders of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Sallu bhai rules a police station in Kanpur. The royal princess angle vs wife of police officer

Kajal Aggarwal's character makes all the difference in the Pawan Kalyan film. She plays a royal princess who is helpless at the hands of the antagonist, until Gabbar Singh comes in to swoop her away. So, it means the romance track between the Powerstar and Kajal will be established. On the other hand, Chulbul Pandey, that is Salman Khan was already married to Rajjo, played by Sonakshi Sinha. So their love track is already set and is not a top priority. This is the first major difference between the two films.

Brutal warlord vs goofy politician

This one is one of the most obvious difference between the two trailers. One of the biggest highlights of Sardaar Gabbar Singh's trailer was the villain Bhairav Singh played by Sharad Kelkar. On the other hand, the trailer of Dabangg 2 was all about Salman Khan's heroics as beats up goons in his own badass way. Even if we consider the entire Salman Khan movie, Prakash Raj's character was rather evil but funny crimelord. On the other hand, Sharad Kelkar's character is downright scary and super aggressive, which separates these two films again.

Funny antics of Gabbar Singh vs Chulbul Pandey's coolness

It is evident from the trailer that PK will indulge in some childish and goofy antics such riding a wooden horse and his comedy tracks with Brahmanandam. But if you look at trailer of Dabangg 2, Salman's antics are sassy and has a certain badassery and is definitely not goofy. Although, it could be argued that both Gabbar Singh and Chulbul Pandey are eccentric cops.

Pawan's large absence vs a complete Salman show

The biggest and most glaring difference of all is that Pawan Kalyan appears only about halfway in the trailer, until then, it is completely fuelled by Sharad Kelkar. As for trailer of Dabangg 2, it was a Salman show through and through. This is the biggest fact that counters the point that the trailers of both the films are the same.
