AITA picks teams for ITF World Junior Tennis Qualifiers

NEW DELHI: The AITA selection committee on Tuesday picked three-member boys and girls squad for the qualifying event of the ITF World Junior Tennis Competition.
Dev V Javia, Aaryan Mehul Zaveri and Sandeep V M comprise the boys squad for the Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying event, to be held in Nonthaburi, Thailand from April 16 to May 1.
The girls squad has Tanisha Kashyap, Sanya Singh and Shreya Gulia.
The boys team will be coached and captained by Varun Walia while former national champion Rushmi Chakravarthy will guide the girls team.
"The teams were selected based on players rankings and performance in the recently concluded ITF 14 and Under Development events held in Vietnam," AITA junior selection committee chairman Anil Dhupar said in a release.
