One of most versatile directors of modern cinema, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, noted comedy actor Brahmanandam and IGP, CID and noted Telugu writer P.V Sunil Kumar are among the writers, artistes set to regale the audiences with their mastery over Telugu and wit at the ‘Sahiti Vasantotsavam,’ on this Ugadi on April 8 evening.
The event hosted by Sahiti Samakhya, a Guntur based literary and cultural organisation, is a popular among literary aficionadas in the district.
Secretary of Sahiti Samakhya S.V.S. Lakshminarayana said that Sahiti Purakskaram would be awarded to Mr. Srinivasa Rao and Brahmanandam. Mr. Sunil Kumar is the guest of honour.
The event would begin with Vishnusahasranama Parayana, followed by Nadaswarakacheri, veda pravachanam. Gudimella Kurmanatha Swamy would read out panchanga sravanam. Writers C. Mrunalini, Telangana poet Andesri, Avadhani and senior journalist Satish Chandar and whistle whizard Komaravolu Siva Prasad would also be present.
