BSP conspired against me: Kushwaha

Varanasi: Former UP minister and president of Jan Adhikar Manch Babu Singh Kushwaha, who was jailed for four years in NRHM scam, alleged that the then BSP government hatched a conspiracy to send him behind the bars.
These days, Kushwaha is approaching the people through his state-wide Jan Sampark Yatra to unite backward classes and Dalits. He is also trying to clarify that he had nothing to do with NHRM scam and he is the victim of a conspiracy hatched by the then BSP government.
On Monday, his yatra reached Varanasi after covering Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Bhadohi. The yatra was started from Jalaun district of Bundelkhand region on March 14. "My aim is to reach out to people belonging to Dalit, backward and most backward classes," he said while addressing a gathering on the banks of Varuna river. The yatra will cover 75 districts of the state. He said that after the killing of two CMOs in Lucknow, he was asked to tender his resignation on moral ground. "There was no issue of NRHM scam at that time but when I demanded probe into the killing of the two government doctors, I was implicated in the scam," he alleged, adding that he never signed even a single file related to NRHM scheme. "But by misusing the CBI, I was sent to jail," he said.
Kushwaha said that the main objective of the yatra is to make aware people about their rights. "The reservation is not the means of rozi-roti(job) but an issue of hissedari(participation) on the basis of population,"he said, adding that the benefit of reservation is not going to the real beneficiaries.
