Gujarat CM reaches folk singer Bhikhudan Gadhvi’s home in Junagadh (video)

Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today met noted Gujarati folk litterateur and folksinger Padmashri Bhikhudanbhai Gadhavi at his Radhakrishna Nagar residence at Junagadh and personally felicitated him on his being awarded Padma award by the President recently.
Mrs. Patel presented a shawl and a copy of Bhagawad Gita to the litterateur and praised his contribution in upholding the rich folk culture and folksongs to the entertaining the readers and audience for the last 50 years. She also felicitated his wife Gajraba and spent time with his son Bharatbhai and other members of the family.
Responding to the felicitation, Bhikhudan said it was a great honour for him to receive the Chief Minister at his residence.
Those present on the occasion included Junagadh Mayor Jitubhai Hirpara and Corporators, Collector Alok Kumar, DDO Ajay Prakash and the litterateur’s neigbours.
