Nagarjuna-Karthi's "Oopiri" has continued to make good collection at the US box office, and is set to beat the lifetime collection records of "Baadshah," "Son of Satyamurthy" (SOS) and "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC).

"Oopiri" was released in more than 100 screens across North America March 25, and opened to superb response everywhere. The movie collected $904,366 in its opening weekend and $174,033 on weekdays. It grossed $1,078,399 (Rs 7.16 crore) at the US box office in its first week. It became the second Telugu flick to cross the $1-million mark in the country in 2016.

Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Telugu film #Oopiri concludes Week 1 on a SPLENDID note in USA. Collects ₹ 7 cr+ from USA alone. Expected to score in Weekend 2 as well... Telugu film #Oopiri - USA: Mon $ 59,434, Tue $ 53,897, Wed $ 32,790, Thu $ 25,531. Total: $ 1,078,399 [₹ 7.16 cr]. FAB! @Rentrak. [sic]"

The Vamsi Paidipally-directed movie has also kept cash registers ringing in the country. The film has grossed $89,211 at the US box office on its second Friday, taking its eight-day total collection to $1,167,611.
