Mumtaz Khan condoles Qayam Khan’s death, positive gesture welcomed by public

Hyderabad: Yaqut Pura MLA, Mr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan believed to be the arch rival of Farhat Khan met the latter and condoled the death of Majlis Bachao Tahreek (MBT) President Dr. Qayam Khan. This positive gesture was welcomed by general public. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan is counted among close friends of late Amanullah Khan. This move is seen as new political change in the future. MBT leaders who are associated with the party since its launch are considering Mumtaz Ahmed Khan’s arrival and condolences as unusual change. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan’s key role in formation of MBT cannot be underestimated. Besides that deep relations between the two families continue even today despite political differences.

Although Farhatullah Khan had contested from Yaqutpura assembly constituency against Mumtaz Ahmed Khan and strong rift was created between them, but forgetting all the differences, on the demise of Dr. Qayam Khan, the way in which Mr. Mumtaz Khan showed broadmindedness and expressed his condolences on the demise of Qayam Khan, is being appreciated from all quarters.

Some also doubt whether Mumtaz Ahmed Khan is finalising his new political strategy for 2019 assembly elections. It is said that his son was denied ticket by MIM during recent municipal elections. He wished that as he had made his debut in politics as a corporator his son should also follow his footsteps. Rumours are rife that he also wishes that his son be given ticket from Yaqutpura assembly constituency in 2019 elections. If party won’t accept his demand he may join his old friend late Amanullah Khan’s family.
