Three villagers sustained gun shot injuries during a dispute between two villages in Manipur’s Senapati district yesterday, a police officer said on Saturday.
The incident occurred late last night when a large number of villagers of Singda Erang went to meet some persons from Singda Kuki after the latter reportedly dismantled a newly-constructed house of the former, the officer said.
However, a heated argument ensued leading to a scuffle during which the three villagers received bullet wounds after unidentified persons fired a few rounds, the police officer said. The injured, who hail from Singda Erang village, are Hokison (18), Wisdam (22) and N. Boipu (25). They were rushed to RIMS, the officer said. - PTI
