Man found murdered in Rajkot village

Rajkot: A 50-year-old man was found murdered near Ribda village on Rajkot-Porbandar highway on Saturday. He was allegedly stabbed with sharp-edged weapons, said police.
Gondal taluka police said, the deceased identified as Rababhai Rathod was a resident of Ardoi village of Kotda-Sangani in Rajkot district. Rathod was a truck driver and had left his residence on Friday evening.However, his body with stab wounds was found near railway underbridge near Ribda village.
"Rathod was a drunkard and we suspect that he may have got into a fight which might have led to his murder. We are trying to find out about the people he was hanging out with," said J M Solanki, investigating officer, Gondal taluka police.
