IPL 9: Wriddhiman Saha among first lot to report for camp

Test specialist Wriddhiman Saha along with India discards Rishi Dhawan and Gurkeerat Singh Mann will be reporting on the first day of Kings XI Punjab’s camp at the PCA Stadium, here on Sunday.

Other players expected to join are Akshar Patel, Murali Vijay and Mohit Sharma to name a few.

Punjab cricketers Sandeep Sharma and Manan Vohra, former mystery bowler K.C. Cariappa, Railways’ Anureet Singh, Mumbai’s Shardul Thakur, Armaan Jaffer, and Baroda’s Swapnil Singh will also be present.

Chief coach Sanjay Bangar, bowling coach Joe Dawes, fielding coach R. Sridhar and other members of the support staff will be present to mentor the players. Bangar said, “We have a well-balanced team. During the camp, we will be focusing on building team synergy and identifying areas that need minor tweaks before the tournament begins. The retention of Virender Sehwag as mentor will be very beneficial for us as well,” Bangar said.
