The last fights in the first stage of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) will be held this weekend, local media reported on Friday.

According to Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, one of the most important fights on Friday will be between United States' Knockouts and Morocco's Lions at Miami's Miccosukee Dome. The winner will go through to the quarter-finals.

Currently, the U.S. is in third position of Group B with seven points, one less than Mexico's Guerreros, who will fight on Saturday against Britain's Lionhearts.

Britain has already gone through to quarter-finals as the Group B leaders. Their best boxers might not fight this time to save energy for the quarter-finals, so Mexico may stand a chance.

But still the U.S. has to do the work against Morocco and try to force the Guerreros to defeat Britain.

In Group A there are only two points between second and third place, so Ukraine's Otamans, in second, need to end the first stage above China's Dragons, who are third.

Also, Cuba's Domadores will fight against China but they are at no risk of dropping from Group A's first place. Otamans will fight against Turkey's Conquerors.

The first two teams in each group will go through to the quarter-finals. The team that finished in first place in Group A will fight against Group B's second place and vice versa. It will be the same between Group C and D. Endi
