    Online photography marketplace Picsdream raises angel funding

    Indian Angel Network co-founder Raman Roy has led the angel round with other investors. The funding will propel marketing and boost product and technology development.

    NEW DELHI: Online marketplace for photography Picsdream has raised angel funding led by Raman Roy, CMD of Quatrro and co-founder of Indian Angel Network, it said in a statement. Other prominent investors include Ankit Nagori, ex-CBO Flipkart and Harish Natarajan, former CEO of Bausch & Lomb India.

    “My vision for Picsdream is to create a comprehensive platform for the Indian visual arts community and to enable our users to truly realize the potential of this unexplored space," says Mahesh Nair, founder and CEO, Picsdream. "We wish to constantly introduce elements that make the platform user-friendly, intuitive and interesting," he adds.

    Picsdream will utilize the funds for selective and targeted marketing and to invest in product and technology development for enhanced user experience, it said in a statement.

    Picsdream offers photographers a portal to share, showcase and store their work. It also connects photographers with buyers, who in turn can get the photographs printed and delivered to their doorstep.
