Kanpur: Girl students of SC and ST categories will this year end up paying more for online registration in Joint Engineering Exam Advanced-2016. Till last year, girl students of the two categories paid Rs 500 but this year they will have to pay Rs 1,000. Registration for JEE advanced will begin from April 29. JEE Advanced will be held in two parts on May 22.
Exam centres will be in the regions of the IITs in Kanpur, Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Roorkee, Kharagpur and Guhawati.
Also, JEE Advanced would be held at a foreign centre, in Dubai. Candidates of JEE Advanced at this centre will have to pay 220 dollars as registration fees.
The Joint Admission Board (JAB) on Tuesday finalised schedule of the entrance exam and registration fees amount for JEE Advanced. Top 2 lakh students cracking the JEE Mains (conducted by CBSE) will be appearing in the JEE Advanced this year.
While Rs 2,000 would be charged as registration fee for students of general and OBC categories. The girl students on the other hand of all the categories (general, OBC, SC/ST) will have to Pay Rs 1,000 as the registration fees. Till last year, registration fees for the SC/ST girl students used to remain half of the general and OBC category girl students. But this year fee has been revised.
Students will be able to pay registration fees through credit card, debit card and e-challan.
The registration process for the JEE Advanced for the students will take place between April 29 and May 4. From May 11, the students will be able to download the admit cards.
