Unidentified miscreants killed a 28-year-old college student by slitting his throat with a sharp knife at Ghaghra village under Bagodar police station early on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified by police as Kunjlal Mahto.

Dhanbad: Unidentified miscreants killed a 28-year-old college student by slitting his throat with a sharp knife at Ghaghra village under Bagodar police station early on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified by police as Kunjlal Mahto. He was a bachelor of arts student of Ghaghra college in Bagodar.
Police said the incident took place around 3 am when the deceased was sleeping and his parents, who are farmers, had gone to pick mahua flowers from a nearby forest.
However, on their return home, the man's parents saw his body partially covered in blood on the floor.
"We are working on important leads to nab the miscreants," said DSP Deepak Kumar Sharma. The body has been sent to the sadar hospital for post-mortem.
